Grand opening of our Creative & Digital Hub Worthing
The new Mayor of Worthing, Cllr Henna Choudhury, officially cut the ribbon to open the town’s latest coworking and flexible workspace – the Creative & Digital Hub – aimed at creating more employment space in the town centre.
Freedom Works, who launched their first coworking space in Worthing in 2016, has expanded its offering with the new site on Stoke Abbott Road, directly opposite the Assembly Rooms.
Taking over the former Kids Fun Junction site – which closed during the pandemic – Freedom Works has repurposed the high street property into a vibrant new space. The hub includes 20 modern private offices, a hot-desking area, and two meeting rooms, designed to meet the growing demand from hybrid working teams looking to connect locally.
“We’re extremely proud to reinvest in Worthing, where it all started for us six years ago,” said Jon Trigg, Founder & Managing Director of Freedom Works. “We’ve seen a significant rise in people moving to Worthing who need somewhere to work, alongside the ongoing shift towards flexible working since the pandemic.”
The Creative & Digital Hub offers 24/7 access for dedicated members, a range of flexible membership options – from permanent desks to pay-as-you-go – enhanced security with CCTV, complimentary tea, coffee, and fresh fruit, as well as access to workshops, networking events and the popular Free Beer Friday.
Additional features include a dedicated events space, a brand-new kitchen and refreshment area, and a creative open-plan workspace for both permanent desk holders and those wanting to drop in and work for the day.
Freedom Works’ broader mission is to develop a network of coworking spaces across Sussex and the South Coast, nurturing collaboration and productivity in coastal communities.
“The pandemic has changed the way we work forever,” adds Trigg. “People now value a healthier work-life balance and a workspace that their team actually enjoys being in. The Creative & Digital Hub is designed to support local micro-businesses, entrepreneurs, and growing SMEs by providing a great place to work and connect with others.”
Though the official opening took place on Friday 17th June, the hub has been operating for several months and is already thriving with freelancers, businesses, and local networking initiatives.
