Nowadays it has become even harder to differentiate between our work life and our personal life. With aspects such as our work emails being so often linked to our phones, it may feel like the 2 can easily become intwined with each other. It is very important to not let them merge into one.

We help by reminding ourselves of what divides the two aspects of our life:

-Personal lives are where we spend time with our families, friends, and loved ones.

-Work is where we spend time at the office with coworkers and clients.

When the two worlds collide, it can cause a lot of stress. It is important to find ways to separate the two because it is not healthy to be always have your work brain activated.

The work-life balance is the most important thing to keep in mind when trying to create a healthy lifestyle. It’s important to have a set amount of hours that you work each day, as well as a set amount of hours that you dedicate to personal activities such as sleeping or spending time with loved ones. The best way to do this is by separating them. This can be difficult, but it’s worth the effort.

There are many ways to separate work and personal life, but the most common are:

– limiting your phone usage

– turning off notifications on your computer and phone

-allowing yourself have the time away from work , and knowing its ok to do so

– even something simple, such as changing out of your work clothes when you come home

There are even ways to separate the 2 when you are on your break at work:

-Take a walk in your break, this is good for us to be in another environment for a short time, allowing us to rejuvenate and come back to work with a fresh mind.

– Reading a book can also take your mind away from things that are happening during the day.

Everybody will find their own way to have work and personal life separation, it’s just about finding what is right for you!
